Fair is fair.
Carolyn Hileman
Now, you know Obama thinks it is such a wonderful idea to have the trials for
the Guantanamo Bay prisoners in New York I have to wonder what he would think
about allowing Texas to try the Fort Hood shooter Hasan? I mean really Texans
would take on Hasan I can assure you and we have something the military does not
have and that is the ability to put him on death row. The military has not put
anyone to death in years, we do it a lot and we have got it down. So if the war
on terror is over and we are going to try any and all terrorists in American
cities then I believe Hasan should be tried by the state of Texas.
I think we should put him on the spot with this one, I mean really fair is fair
and he killed some civilians on his little rampage so I think even if the
military gets him first we should get him next. Obama seems to have a weak spot
for this guy, coming out twice now to tell us to lay off of him, so I wonder if
he would be prepared to hand him over to the state of Texas to be tried
convicted and sentenced to death. You see, they don’t get those virgins if we
kill them only if they are killed in the act of terror. And they can say this
was not an act of terror all they want but I am willing to bet as the bodies
started hitting the floor there was not one person in that place that was not
terrified, hence an act of terror.
We all know the trials in New York will not be about what they did, it will be
about how they were tortured into giving their confessions and of course their
confessions and any information gained will be thrown out as fruit of the poison
tree. This trial will be about the Bush administration, it will be about our
military, it will be about the CIA, but about the people who killed Americans,
guess again. Once this trial is moved to the federal courts all bets are off,
our reasoning in questioning them, our right to question them becomes suspect
and these people will walk. So if we are going to end up losing that one we
should at the very least have one we can win and that would be a trial in Texas
for the Fort Hood shooter.
Let’s all get something straight here, moving these trials is nothing more than
yet another slap in the face to the American people, make no mistake about it
this is just the long way to set them free. This man that is president has
looked the families of 9/11 in the face and said screw you. Why else would he
want to try them in the city that lost so many people, why would he want to open
that wound wide open yet again? This has nothing to do with the supposed torture
of these terrorists and everything to do with his wish to endear himself to the
Muslim world. That being said, if they can be tried in New York, then Hasan can
be tried in Texas, fair is fair.

We can even borrow "Old Sparky" back from the museum and move it back over to the Huntsville Prison to give him a ride.

The Texas electric chair to which the name "Old Sparky" is
applied was in use from 1924 to 1964.
During that time, it saw the deaths of 361 prisoners sentenced to die by
judicial electrocution.
It was built by incarcerated craftsmen in 1924.
