Mental Cruelty By Emergency Medical Personnel

 

 


Did you ever observe Emergency Medical Responders treating a victim at the scene of an accident or illness? They are absolutely the best in the world at stabilizing physical trauma and initiating any treatment until they can get you into the hands of fully qualified doctors.

I believe they need a bit more training and/or sensitivity in the area of mental trauma. When they have a victim who has been unconscious due to a head injury, stroke, or unknown reasons, they have to assess the subject's mental function and acuity. But why in hell do they do that by asking: "who is president of the United States"?

There's the victim, regaining consciousness on the ground in a puddle of blood, multiple broken bones, looking forward to a long and expensive hospital stay, and a life that will never be the same again, and some jerk is reminding him of this:
