Events of the past week have permanently lifted "Mister Potato(e)-Head out of the cellar. The Honorable James Danforth "Dan" Quayle is now recognized as the second stupidest vice-president ever. He was permanently bumped out of the ignominious position of dishonor in the past week following vice-president Joke Biden's back-to-back gaffes in Israel and Ireland.

Mister Quayle's hold on second place may be temporary, as we are all trying to figure out who was Jimmah Carter's Vice President. Suggestions so far have been Mister Rogers, Barney Fife and the famous angry swimming rabbit. (Our usually reliable intelligence sources are on assignment in Dubai to find the real reason that the top floors of the worlds tallest building have been evacuated.)
