Not Islamophobia

I was reading an article by Roger L. Simon today on Pajamas Media on the topic of Islamophobia. He began by explaining that "phobia" came from the ancient Greek word for "an irrational fear of" something.

Actually, I studied ancient Greek for 3 years in high school and another 2 years in college. Not by choice, I was locked into a course of classical studies that greatly improved my mind, much against my will at the time.

I've never had much call to use my ancient Greek skills, (or the Latin either) but the analysis of language structure and the historical knowledge picked up while translating ancient history came in handy more than once in my intelligence and programming careers. Nothing is ever wasted, it's just a matter of finding how to use it.

Back to Islamophobia: I don't have it. I can guarantee that I do not have an irrational fear of the f**king ragheads. I do not have any kind of a fear of the f**king ragheads. What I do have is a raging, justified hatred of the f**king ragheads.

Unfortunately, after 40+ years, my ancient Greek vocabulary is very limited, so I'll have to do some research and get back to you on the proper term for my Islamo-"raging, justified hatred."
