The radical left forced the last US light bulb plant to close its doors. From now on we will import all of our green bulbs from China.

The Washington Post reported, via FOX Nation:

The last major GE factory making ordinary incandescent light bulbs in the United States is closing this month, marking a small, sad exit for a product and company that can trace their roots to Thomas Alva Edison’s innovations in the 1870s.

The remaining 200 workers at the plant here will lose their jobs

My prediction: in a few years medical/science researchers will discover that CFLs cause eye and/or brain damage by their light frequency or "temperature". The discarded CFLs in landfills will each contribute a bit of mercury to a growing plume of poisoned earth. (Remember how fast they condemned mercury thermometers?)

CFLs don't work with dimmers, they don't last when frequently turned off and on. If you break one you have to get your house decontaminated by an EPA-approved specialist. They're made in China - does the "C" in CFL stand for China or Communist? In the long run they don't save any money, but they make the leftist green freaks happy that they have imposed their will on the rest of us.

Many years from now the USA is going to be listed among the mysterious "Lost Cultures" of the Southwest and Latin America and Asia that built a thriving civilization and then suddenly declined and disappeared for no apparent reason.

It's really ironic that in cartoons, the symbol for a character having an idea or "getting a clue" is an incandescent light bulb glowing above his head. I guess that will never happen again in this country.

Maybe it hasn't happened for a while.
