The computer, known as Tianhe-1A, has 1.4 times the horsepower of the current top computer, which is at a national laboratory in Tennessee, as measured by the standard test used to gauge how well the systems handle mathematical calculations, said Jack Dongarra, a University of Tennessee computer scientist who maintains the official supercomputer rankings.

Okay, who is shocked and surprised by this news? The (formerly) fast US supercomputer likely was more than 90% constructed of Asian-made components. Asian students have the self-discipline to study and learn, particularly in the hard sciences. American students learn self-esteem and unicorn ecology.

Asian children obey and respect their parents and their elders. They learn their culture and honor it. American children mostly believe that the world revolves around them, freebies and instant gratification is the way to go. They grow up with no skills, no goals, no values.
