B-52D

A heart-warming article about the increasing drone sortie rate in the AfPak border and the climbing KBA numbers. It's reminiscent of my 1972-73 tour in Southeast Asia when President Nixon unleashed the Air Force and Naval Air to win the war. The Linebacker II campaign, 11 days of fighter-bomber strikes by day and B-52 carpet bombing by night against Hanoi and Haiphong plus other strategic targets in North Vietnam, ended the foot-dragging and fucking-around and got them to sign a peace treaty post haste. They later cheated and invaded the Republic of Vietnam (the South) after the US congress coincidently cheated and cut off the promised aid to  the South, but that's another story.

If we knew in 1973 what we knew by 1975, we could have just killed everyone in North Vietnam to keep the South free.

We already know that we're going to have to kill every last fucking muslim in the world if we want to be safe from terrorist attacks.
