I used to do genealogy as a hobby. My roots are mostly in Ireland and Scotland, with a distinct branch from East Anglia in England. There's not a drop of Jewish blood in my veins. I was born in the few months between the end of World War II and the start of the "Baby Boom". The Holocaust was fresh news when I was a baby. The founding of Israel and the "Exodus" happened while I was learning to walk and talk. I grew up to the news of conflict in the Middle-East. I had my first Air Force flight-physical during the Six-Day War. I was newly assigned to Europe when the Yom-Kippur war broke out. I was in Texas when the Bekaa Valley war took place.

I admire and respect the Israeli people for their patience and forbearance under continuous provocation. The Israelis are widely acknowledged to have one of the world's most lethal and professional military services in their IDF, and they have probably the world's best intelligence agency, Mossad. Israel is small but deadly, they should borrow and fly our Gadsden flag.

Honestly, I don't find the Palestinian people to be the least bit sympathetic. They're backwards, genocidal, hyper-violent, sad sack Nazi wannabes led by terrorists who would happily murder every Jew on the planet if they could get away with it.

Then there are the Israelis. They're a tiny Western democracy surrounded by backwards savages who want to murder them down to the last child because they're Jews. Moreover, despite all the claims to the contrary, they're the most restrained people on earth. If you don't believe that, consider the fact that they could simply drive the Palestinians off their land and take it at any point, but instead, they've chosen to permanently live beside of millions of people who make the Manson family look sane. If the Israelis were somehow replaced by Americans, we'd drive the Palestinians off their land at gunpoint in six months tops -- and we'd be perfectly justified in doing so.
